Solid suar wood: Suar wood, also known as monkey pod wood, is highly valued for its remarkable durability, strength, and stunning natural beauty. Its striking grain patterns, featuring swirling lines and a rich mix of light and dark tones, lend a unique and artistic appeal to each piece, making every item of furniture one-of-a-kind. All the Suar wood we used is dried in specialised ovens ("kiln") to ensure minimal level of moisture and maximum robustness, and comes from sustinable forestry in the islands of Java, Borneo and Sulawesi in Indonesia.

Usage: Indoor use.

This item can be manufactured in lage volumes and tailored colours and finishes for corporate projects.
MATERIAL & FINISH
Solid Suar Wood

The Shou Sugi Ban finish, an ancient Japanese technique of wood preservation, consists in charring the surface of the wood, not only creating a visually dramatic and elegant look but also significantly enhancing the wood's durability, all through an entirely sustainable process. The wood is then covered with a natural and unvisible varnish ensuring long-term colour anchorage and stability.

Length: 80cm
Width: 80cm

PRODUCT CARE

Regularly remove dust and debris from the surface by gently wiping with a soft cloth or brush, following the direction of the wood grain. For cleaning or if spills occur, use a damp cloth with natural soap, and promptly address any spills to prevent damage.

Avoid using abrasive cleaners, chlorinated products, degreasers, and linseed oil, as these can clog the wood and cause it to darken.
