The Shou Sugi Ban finish, an ancient Japanese technique of wood preservation, consists in charring the surface of the wood, not only creating a visually dramatic and elegant look but also significantly enhancing the wood's durability, all through an entirely sustainable process. The wood is then covered with a natural and unvisible varnish ensuring long-term colour anchorage and stability
