Material: Mendong, a water grass native to Java, is a resilient fiber harvested by hand, making it ideal for durable rugs and baskets. This renewable resource regrows every 3 to 5 months without additional fertilizers or pesticides.
Sustainable Sourcing: Mendong is cultivated in community plantations in Java. The grass grows naturally in a wet environment, eliminating the need for irrigation or chemical treatments. It is processed locally by villagers, reducing environmental impact and supporting sustainable practices.
Usage: Ideal for indoor use and high traffic areas.
This item can be manufactured in lage volumes and tailored colours and finishes for corporate projects.
